Billie Holiday

   It's during an English class that I had discover Billie Holiday with "Strange Fruit". Her voice please me at the moment.

   Billie, originaly Eleonora Fagan, didn't have an easy life. From poverty to drugs, alcool , prison and family violences.

   She started her career at fifteen years old, when her mother prostitute herself in New York.
In 1933 she is discovered and signed with the Columbia. From there she will sing with the bests : Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman ...

   She is known for her amazing voice. For the emotion she put in it.
